Allergy symptoms occur when your immune system overreacts to something that is harmless to most people but triggers a reaction in anyone sensitive to it. This substance is known as an allergen.

According to Cleveland Clinic Seasonal allergic rhinitis can be caused by indoor allergens and manifests as nasal congestion, runny nose, watering of the eyes, sneezing, and postnasal drip.

Symptoms of asthma, including wheezing or difficulty breathing, can also occur in susceptible individuals.

Pollen is the main cause of seasonal allergic rhinitis. However, if your nasal stuffiness, sneezing, watery eyes, and constant postnasal drip bother you year-round, then you most likely have nonseasonal hay fever, sometimes referred to as perennial allergic rhinitis. This condition is typically caused by indoor allergens such as dust mites, cockroach parts, mold, and animal dander. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/allergies/symptoms-causes/syc-20351497

While there are literally DOZENS of allergies (Food, Seasonal, Pet, Cosmetic, Drug, ect.) this article will deal specifically with seasonal and non seasonal hay fever whose symptoms include: Nasal Congestion, Itchy/Watery eyes, sneezing, stuffy/runny nose, scratchy throat/throat clearing and cough from postnasal drip.

Crystal Suggestions

For that pesky over reactive immune system, work with Amethyst, Bloodstone, Pink Chalcedony, or some Nephrite Jade.

Blue Calcite has a calming sedative type energy which will help reduce general symptoms.

For Nasal Congestion and the accompanying scratchy throat work with Blue Tourmaline.

For itching eyes, try a cold compress of Emerald or Peridot infused water. Emerald can also help to balance the immune system which could also aid in the reaction of the allergy sufferer by lessening the symptoms. Make sure to check any crystal in the Crystal Cautions list especially if you are infusing water or placing on the skin. It is FREE to download.

Apophyllite is a wonderful crystal to use to help ease the symptoms of allergies. It can help to soothe the itchy eyes, slow that runny nose and aid in clear breathing without the constant interruption of sneezing and wheezing.

Aquamarine is one of my go to’s. It works with the immune system, which is where the problem starts (over reacting immune system). Aquamarine also helps to soothe those itchy, watering eyes, ease the scratchy throat and cough due to post nasal dripping.

Blue Barite or Blue Fluorite will help to ease a scratchy throat which in turn will lessen the need to clear the throat.

Put together a First Aid crystal kit of Aventurine. Aventurine is very helpful to sooth the symptoms of Allergies. I prefer a combination of Green and Blue Aventurine.

Carnelian is one of my favorite crystals to use for Allergy Season. It offers a great deal of help to relieve all Allergy Symptoms, helping to keep the symptoms at bay.

Indigo Gabbro will ease the symptoms of Allergies as well as ease the cough and clearing due to scratchy throat.

Orbicular Sea Jasper and/or Moss Agate are often used for relief from colds, sinus issues and allergies. It is also a wonderful immune booster and balancer.

Other suggestions for allergies in general include: Danburite, Fuchsite, and Lepidolite.

Final Word

Look over the list and choose those crystals that you are drawn to. Remember, each person has their own unique energy vibration at any given time. No crystal/stone will work the same for everyone. This is why I offer a variety for you to pull from. Listen to your gut.

Here is hoping this consultation will help to ease your Allergy/Hay Fever symptoms. Happy Breathing!

with love and crystal blessings,

Kristi
